White Doc Martens shoes get a more alternative vibe than white canvas sneakers. They’re edgy and I like to pair them with tailored pieces.
About Dr. Martens Shoes
I feel I’ve featured this pair of white Doc Martens shoes many times on my blog recently, and I’m just still as much smitten with them. I love how rebel they are and how they can make any outfit edgy. Sometimes it’s better to restyle a piece you truly adore in never-before-imagined ways than just shopping new ones. When I’m in love with a certain piece, I like to find ways I can make multiple outfits with it (talking about my obsessions with Cambridge Satchel and Dr. Martens shoes). Anyway, lately, this pair of white DM shoes start to get dirty like all the other white shoes in the world – white shoes are tricky to maintain. I usually use soapy water and a tooth brush to remove the dirt. First, de-lace the shoes, and scrub gently at muddy area. Then wash the shoelaces separately by soaking them in the mixture of soapy water. And rub shoelaces to clean them. After cleaning, dry the shoes and shoelaces with a dry cloth. And let them sit and dry indoors. Re-lace them and your white Doc Martens shoes is back!
How I Wear White Doc Martens Shoes
Lately, it seems that all style bloggers in my Feedly subscription are celebrating spring by wearing colorful floral prints and patterns. For me, I’m not the most colorful person in general and my eyes gravitate toward neutral colors (or you might say boring colors). I’m mostly drawn to muted colors like grey, beige, navy and white. During this in between season, I stick to my navy trench coat for the unpredictable weather. To pull out the bright color for the new season, I layered with a white sweater. Lastly, socks are great accessory when transitioning from winter to spring. They not only keep your feet warm but also show personality. I wore this grey knee high socks that are in contrast with the cleanliness of white Doc Martens shoes.
