Wanted to share my style notes on The Cambridge Satchel. This outfit was taken when we visited NYC a couple of weeks ago. And when you are in the fashion capitol, you just want to blend in with style. I wore simple black, white and grey, and held my red Cambridge Satchel as a clutch to give a sophisticated touch to the look.

My Style Notes on The Cambridge Satchel 11″
Over the years, I have found myself enjoying the simple clean lines and aiming for quality over quantity. I wear items of clothing that I really love over and over, and never found them boring. This grey coat has been my wardrobe staple throughout the years. I wore this coat everywhere. It got me through the early spring in Tokyo and the severe Boston winter. During my stay in NYC this time in early fall, this coat a.k.a. my loyal companion still kept me warm and cozy.
To keep the outfit clean, I minimized the color scheme to black, white and a bit in between – grey. Black and white stripes are so basic that I know I can plan on keeping the look in rotation forever. Also, I tried to give the outfit an interesting touch with bold red accents. Crimson red is elegant and sophisticated. The simple color combination of black, white and grey with red lips and purse brings a classy feel. In addition, I held my red Cambridge Satchel as a clutch for a more refined style instead of carrying it cross the body. I usually associate Cambridge Satchel with preppy style. But here, simply changing the way you carry it can elevate your style, too.
Walking New York
Every time when I visited the New York city, I enjoy walking the street and experiencing the cultural diversity very much. Since New York embraces people from a rich variety of ethnic backgrounds, cultures and experiences, the diversity makes NYC truly unique. The vibrant mix of cultures is everywhere, and it’s what makes the Big Apple so attractive.
