Boston winter is not kidding. As the usual temperature here in Boston is around13˚F to -4˚F this winter, my go-to pieces of winter outfit now contain a wool hat, a pair of leather gloves, rain boots and a scarf. These pieces and layered outfits have kept me warm and dry for below freezing temperatures. When going out during a snowstorm, I need to make my way along a snow covered street and it’s not romantic at all as it seems.
Welcome to Boston, it snows like 24-hour this winter.
Winter Outfit
I have been told how cold the winter would be here in Boston by my classmates since last semester. They all said that the down coat was a must-buy since it’s not only water-proof and wind-resistant, but also keeps you warm. I was struggling to purchase one because it was not aesthetically pleasing to me. After hesitating for a long time, my final decision is this Uniqlo down vest. Served as a versatile layer, this vest certainly provides extra warmth.
This is the runaway hat that was featured on my last Lytro Illum post. It’s actually a very warm wool hat.
Other winter go-to pieces are gloves and a scarf. You definitely don’t want to go out without them!
I had my behavioral economics mid-term last week so that I didn’t have a proper Chinese New Year celebration. Anyway, 2015 is the year of sheep according to Chinese zodiac, and happy belated lunar New Year!
