Sharing my Wendella Chicago river experience. When I was researching Chicago spots to visit, I came across Wendella Chicago river tour and it has 4.5 out of 5 stars on TripAdvisor. I was intrigued after reading so many positive reviews. I didn’t know what to expect but still booked the tour anyway. It turns out to be the best experience during our Chicago trip!
Wendella Chicago River Experience
Wendella Chicago boat tour focuses on Chicago’s rich architecture heritage and we enjoy the tour very much. We were awe-struck by all the buildings along the Chicago River during the tour. Hubby and I both agree that this is one of the best ways to see Chicago. The tour departs from the west side of the Wrigley Building. Wrigley Building is the iconic symbol of the Chicago city. Known for its soaring clock tower and the delicate details of the design, it’s is simply stunning. And then comes Marina City, the corncob shaped towers that have very unique presences among Chicago’s skyline. Followed by Merchandise Mart, which is one of the landmark buildings in downtown Chicago. It’s so large that it even has its own ZIP code. And then comes the sky-blue skyscraper Trump Hotel. Also, there’s neo-gothic Tribune Tower, the building that won the contest held by Tribune co-publishers to create the newspaper’s new HQ. Oh and Willis Tower is pretty awesome too, because it has the efficient “bundled tube” design to resist wind loads for the very windy city!
