We had a very short stay in Chicago this time so most places we visited are tourist-heavy. From strolling through the iconic Millenium Park to seeing Chicago’s famous architecture on Wendella’s boat tour, all the attractions are awe-inspiring. We also went to Willis Tower because obviously no trip to Chicago is complete without a visit to The Ledge at Skydeck Chicago for the city’s amazing skyline.
TOPSHOP BEANIE ( SOLD OUT, BUT LOVE THIS SIMILAR STYLE ) / ZARA BLAZER / ASOS BLOUSE / ASOS MAXI SKIRT / DR. MARTENS SHOES / YSL BAG
Before Malaysia’s Twin Towers surpassed in height, Willis Tower was the world’s tallest building. Even though Willis Tower is no longer the world’s tallest building anymore, it’s still the tallest skydeck ledge in the U.S. It’s also one of the best spots to see the stunning skyline of the Chicago city. On a clear day, you can even see states nearby – Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan. The Ledge’s glass balconies provides 360-degree spectacular view of the city.
There was so much to see and do but we just didn’t have much time. Do let me know if you have any favorite spots in Chicago because we can’t wait to go back for a return visit in warm weather!
How to style a maxi skirt for winter
I always have a soft spot for maxi skirts. They are ladylike, airy, and you can pretty much wear them all season. With the right items, you can still get away with cold weather wearing a maxi skirt in the winter. To add a touch of preppy vibe, I paired with a blazer and blouse. A beanie can turn a outfit to an effortless look, so I threw a beanie on for a twist. I also piled on a long coat (not shown in the photo) and wore my trusty wool tights. Ta-da! Ready to tackle the wind in Chicago!
